Holiday Card Project

events1175

Help spread a little joy around Inglewood this winter by making, donating, or delivering holiday cards and messages of goodwill. The Holiday Card Project began in the fall and winter of 2021 as a Covid-friendly way to spread some holiday cheer. The community made and delivered 211 cards that first year and the program has grown every year since with 351 cards hitting mailboxes in 2023. We need your help to meet our 2024 goal of 500 cards.

There are lots of ways to get involved:

  • Donate store-bought or homemade seasonal cards

  • Come to a card-making bee to make cards and write messages in donated cards (craft supplies provided)

  • Host a cardmaking bee (volunteer for the ICA or organize your own)

  • Pick up a bundle of donated cards to write messages in from the comfort of your own home

  • Deliver cards to a pre-determined route between Dec 18 and 24

Drop off blank cards (store-bought or homemade) in the large storage container marked "reuseable bag drop/card drop" in front of the Skate Shack by December 12.

ICA hosted card-making bees happen on:

  • Sunday, November 17 - 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM - Skate Shack

  • Saturday, November 30 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM - Skate Shack

  • Saturday, December 14 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM - ICA Holiday Party

Contact Talia at events@icacalgary.com for more information and to get involved.
