HELP WANTED FOR OUR COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER PRODUCTION

Our monthly newsletter is an important communication link for Inglewood residents and the Inglewood Community Association is looking for an enthusiastic and committed person to assume the role of Copy Editor.

This volunteer position requires excellent writing and document formatting skills and an eagle eye for detail.  The Copy Editor is an important member of the Newsletter Production Team and will need to:

Review all article submissions for grammar, spelling, formatting and sentence structure within a five-day window from the 10th to the 15th of each month (except July and December).

Manage and update a spreadsheet listing all the articles, and upload all the documents and photos for the Layout Editor to access.

Proofread the newsletter for accuracy before it goes to print.

This is a one-year term, approximately 10 - 15 hours per month, 10 issues per year. Work from home via e-mail and phone.  Occasional team meetings.
Training will be provided. Ideally, we would like to recruit two people for the position, so that they can alternate months and do 5 issues per year each.

If this sounds interesting to you, please e-mail   volunteers@icacalgary.com
or register on-line for this opportunity and we will contact you with more information.
