Employment Opportunities

The Inglewood Community Association is currently seeking candidates for the following:

There are currently no employment opportunities at the ICA. Please check back later.

We Love Volunteers!

Our community members volunteer for ICA events for various reasons - to meet neighbours, apply skills and give back to the community. As a volunteer-run association, we rely on our dedicated volunteers to keep the ICA moving forward.

At the ICA, our Volunteer Program strives to put your skills to use and to provide meaningful volunteering opportunities. If you have skills outside of what is advertised below, please contact our Volunteer Director at volunteers@icacalgary.com - it would be our pleasure to match you with an opportunity best suited to your strengths.

The ICA has a 12 member board (plus additional Directors-at-Large) that renews every September at our AGM. Please contact us if you are interested in running for a Board Position.

Message from Talia Potter
Volunteer Director

Dear ICA Volunteers and Members,

My name is Talia Potter and I am excited to be taking on the role of Volunteer Director with the ICA starting NOW!

I am a resident, homeowner and ICA member myself. My partner, child, dog and I have lived in the community for 10 years this November, but I have a longer history with the neighbourhood. As a kid, I lived at 1338 8th Avenue and my dad grew up in the community too, at 1414 16th Street.

I am a lifelong volunteer and a career volunteer manager, and I am super keen to see what I can do to contribute to an already strong and well established volunteer program for Inglewood.

Your feedback about why volunteerism is important in our community and how volunteers can best support Inglewood is important to me.... whether you are an active volunteer in the community or not. I've put together a quick survey to gather input from you, about volunteerism in Inglewood. The survey will be active until October 31 and I would so appreciate it you would take a few minutes to fill it out.

Volunteerism in Inglewood Survey

You'll also be able to find the link in a few other places - the ICA and ICA Neighbours social media channels and the ICA website. Your answers will help direct the volunteer program growth in Inglewood, so it stays relevant to you and your fellow community members.

I really look forward to getting to know more of my neighbours and fellow community members through this new role.

Yours,

Talia

BINGOS ARE BACK!! Bingos are now allowed to operate with certain measures in place - which means the Inglewood Community Association is looking for VOLUNTEERS again to help staff the Bingo events. Each charity or non-profit group has to provide 10 volunteers for each Bingo date

COVID-19 Safety Measures:  Volunteers, patrons and Five Star Bingo staff are required to wear a mask, frequent hand sanitizing/washing and physical distancing will also be required. Extra cleaning and sanitizing of common-touch areas will also be carried out regularly in order to keep everyone safe.

Bingos are an important source of revenue for the Inglewood Community Association, so working just a few Bingos each year can really help.

If you have some time during the day, if you like to keep busy and want to do something worthwhile for your Community, please consider working a shift or two!  It's a great way to meet new people.

    • A free lunch is provided, it’s a non-smoking facility, and you get to meet your neighbours while contributing to your community.
    • Wednesdays (twice a month) from 10:30am–3:30pm
    • First & Third Wednesday each month, all year round
    • Located at Five Star Bingo (4980 – 25 St SE)

We are also looking for volunteer Drivers, who can pick up & drop off other Bingo volunteers.

To volunteer or for more information, e-mail:  volunteers@icacalgary.com

or Register Here for this opportunity and we will contact you
