Employment Opportunities

The Inglewood Community Association is currently seeking candidates for the following:

There are no employment opportunities at this time. Please check back in the future.

We Love Volunteers!

Our community members volunteer for ICA events for various reasons - to meet neighbours, apply skills and give back to the community. As a volunteer-run association, we rely on our dedicated volunteers to keep the ICA moving forward.

At the ICA, our Volunteer Program strives to put your skills to use and to provide meaningful volunteering opportunities. If you have skills outside of what is advertised below, please contact our Volunteer Director at volunteers@icacalgary.com - it would be our pleasure to match you with an opportunity best suited to your strengths.

The ICA has a 12 member board (plus additional Directors-at-Large) that renews every September at our AGM. Please contact us if you are interested in running for a Board Position.

The three sheets of ice at the Inglewood Community Hall are maintained entirely by local volunteers, so volunteering  your time makes winter skating possible for our whole community :-)

The start and end dates for the skating season will depend on the weather - Ice Maintenance is a 2 - 3 month commitment (usually mid-December to mid-February).

Volunteers will be clearing snow and flooding the rinks. All tools and training are provided.  Note that ice maintenance requires a fair amount of snow shovelling!

Please choose your preferred shift(s) when you register:
Mon, Wed or Fri:  8.30 - 11pm / Sun:  9 - 11.30am / Flexible:  any shift/as needed   (Note: shift end times will vary depending on the weather)

Volunteer some time at the Skate Shack Concession and make winter skating a warm and inviting activity for our whole community!

Grab a friend, your son or daughter and consider volunteering at the ICA Skate Shack - it's a great place to hang out together and bond!

We need volunteers for Saturday and Sunday afternoons, selling drinks and packaged snacks to skaters, providing them with a cozy place to change into their skates and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate!

Without volunteers, we cannot run the Concession and without the Concession, we cannot have the Skate Shack open for Family Skating times!

      Please choose a shift when you register:  Saturday or Sunday, 12pm - 2.30pm or 2.30pm - 5pm.

Note: The season start and end date will depend on the weather but it is usually about mid-December to mid-February  (a 2-month commitment at most!)

The ICA is looking for a new Coordinator for Saturday, May 30th, 2020 for the 9th Annual Inglewood Parade of Garage Sales!

The position will include: coordinating registrations, signage and advertising for the event, making sure hard copies of the map are available on the day, including via an app, plus managing the event and volunteers on the day.  ICA staff will also be available to assist with some of the logistics.

We have been very fortunate to have an amazing volunteer, Cheryl Myers, to organize this popular event for the last 8 years but we now need someone to step into her shoes!  Cheryl has the whole process down to a fine art! She will explain everything to her successor and will be available for questions.

If you are well-organized, have some experience with event management and have some time to commit in the months leading up to the event, we would love to hear from you!

If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity, please e-mail: volunteers@icacalgary.com  or Register Here and we will contact you.
